Help Desk Interview

Any pointers on getting a Help Desk position? Got an interview tomorrow and
I've only had a couple of months of experience.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
PK

Be sure to ask *them* a few questions...
it will show that you are interested in the job...
btw: there is a real good chance that the person interviewing you is not
all that experienced anyway...so you may as well relax

They'll probably look at how you handle yourself during the interview.
If you've got good, quick responses, and correct ones, they'll put you to
work.
But if you fudge around and take your time, don't count on it.
And when you're stumped, "Let me transfer you over to maintenance for that
one".

Just don't mention that you got your couple of months experience at PC
World. In fact, delete it from your cv and tell them you have no experience
at all. If they ask you why it's on their copy of your cv simply deny it.
When they show you your cv tell them it's not yours and make up a false name
for yourself. If they start to look at you funny ask them if you can go out
and come back in again. Then sneak off home.

Seriously though, check out the firm on the web tonight and think of a few
questions. And don't be worried about letting them know you looked for them
on the web. And make sure you cram up on all those fascinating interests you
lied about

to the OP:

tell em you will work for less than $10/hour...
help desk (tier one) is an on the job training position.
if you don't know the solution, escalate it to level two support.

you will be surprised at what is learned within a few months of help desk.
i'm starting my next consultant job as level three desktop support. each job
comes with a new series of software to learn.
