My new Fuji FinePix 3800 camera came with software. Regarded the CD with
fear and loathing bcz there's always trouble. Finally broke down and ran
the CD. I was right; the installation screwed up the TV function on my vid
card, a 3dfx Voodoo3 3500 TV AGP (all-in-one type considered old now, but
still works under Win98).

The software components were:
USB Mass Storage Driver
Exif Launcher (wtf?)
USB PC Camera Driver
FinePix Viewer
PictureHello (vidconference, not installed)
ImageMixer VCD
Acrobat reader (not installed; had newer version)
QuickTime

I UNinstalled all the camera software, but now the TV function shows four
conditions in turn, each time the TV is launched:

1. Normal, but the audio quits after every channel change. Mute/unmute
restores it.

2. Video frozen, normal sound. (the image sometimes shudders as if 2
frames were rapidly cycled)

3. Video normal, but only b&w

4. Fast scrolling b&w (when this shows, it stays that way until reboot)

I'd really like to hear from someone who solved this on his own system. Or
could someone direct me to more appropriate ng's & websites to narrow my
search.
