- Is this a hijack?
- Posted by richard flores on July 24th, 2005
My XP computer is running pretty slow. I've removed spyware and checked for
viruses but it did not help.
When I bring up task manager I can see the CPU usage jumping around alot all
the way to 100%. When I check under the processes tab alot of the files are
also jumping around and using up the CPU, mostly: taskmrg.exe,
iexplorer.exe, compaq-rba.exe (high usage), Isass.exe, svchosr.exe and
System Idle Process (high usage).
Any ideas on what's causing this?
Thanks

my suggestion is run you pc scan with, crapcleaner. after words if dont
help.. kill all your application in task manager that you are not using, see
if it makes a diff in you pc performance. you can always try hijackthisin
last option but you with this program is more touchy you have to be carefull
what you kill, be shure what you are doin.

I've heard.
Prove that you can see the cpu usage jumping around alot all the way to
100%, flores.
You're just struggling to prove I'm wrong. It's getting kind of hopeless.
What's your offer?
Thanks. You're an angel.

I must have misspelled it. It is svchost. But I have 9 of them. Is that
normal?
