now are they?

my default dvd player for windows 98 se
The brightness on the monitor itself is maxed out, it only gets "so dark"
when you play movies through the dvd player...

There ***IS*** no default DVD player. It's something GATEWAY or someone else
put on the system. Start the DVD player, read the title bar, and tell us
what the program is, or go away.

I guess that is understandable. With many people once you have seen
one, you have seen them both.

Good to keep abreast of the latest information though.

How about you do something helpful like look at the properties of the
shortcut that runs the "default dvd player" and tell us the name of the
executable in the target? You're the one that wants advice on a piece of
software. If you can't tell us what it is we can't give you the advice. If
you can't be bothered, neither can we. :-)
