The file is probably in use. Try booting into safe mode, then see if you

JACK,
You need to understand what you're doing before
you manually delete folders or files.

Do not delete this folder and/or any of it's contents.
C:\windows\system32\drivers

By the nature of the orginal post, I could tell, IMO, that providing DOS
commands to delete anything was, not a good idea.
I'm sure you meant well, but think about it.
Does it make sense to provide a delete command to an obivious newbie.....

I'll top post when appropriate.
It's been an accecped practice for many years in this group.

Advising to delete ANY files in the System/System32 folder, without
knowing EXACTLY what they are, *is* bad advice. Your advice *was*
bad.

Here we (TINW) go again......

You're new to 24HSHD. That's obvious, or you'd know that in 24HSHD, top-posting

should have lurked awhile.

Next clue: You're forging a valid domain as your address. Privacy.com is NOT the
same as privacy.net.

Last clue:

Your advice was indeed bad. Most of the posters who post problems here are
newbies. Telling them to delete files from the system32 folder, when they don't
know what they're doing in the first place, is dangerous.

"Please don't do that again."

JACK,

I somehow feel compelled to reinforce the message of other posters :-)

Look, the drivers are the programs that run all the "devices" that make
up your computer. Things like the keyboard, the mouse, the screen, the
hard disk, the networks,.. So, for example: when you delete the mouse
driver, your mouse stops functioning, etc.

Now, that directory contains _all_ the drivers that run _all_ the
devices that compose your pc. Deleting it resembles shooting your head
because you have a headache. This holds for all the directories under
the c:\windows hierarchy.

Your digital camera program ought to include a deinstall program
("deinstall utility"). Run it. Reboot. Try to re-install. Better after
downloading again the whole Kodak installation package. If that doesnt
work, go for the FAQ of Kodak. If that doesnt help either, try an email
to kodak, chances are they have heard of this before. After that go to
the Kodak shop, to some real computer expert, etc.

The only time I managed to remove a file used by Kodak application I had to
format the hard drive to do it.
