- I cannot display some secure websites.

Hello,
I am currently using Windows XP with service pack 2, and I am having
problems displaying my banking websites. There are secure websites I can
display, but all my banking sites will not display. I have tried to turn
off both my McAfee and Windows firewalls. I have also reduced my security
settings in Internet Explorer and cleared my cache, cookies, files, history,
and SSL state. I even added the secure website I am trying to access to my
trusted sites option in security tab of Internet Options. I have also
confirmed that my SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, and TLS 1.0 are all checked in my
advanced tab of Internet Explorer. I called the bank directly with a
technical support representative who could not solve my situation. I have a
laptop with the same configuration except for it only uses the windows
firewall doing the same exact thing. I would appreciate any help that can
be given to me.

Hello,
You will need to contact the Microsoft Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 support
people to help you. I had problems with McAfee's Firewall program before
installing Service Pack 2. I switched to ZoneAlarm Security Suite and have
not experienced any problems, even after installing service pack 2. When I
encountered problems installing MSN Premium, with the firewall and
anti-virus program disabled, I still had to call the service pack 2 support
people. They were very helpful and patience and helped solved my problem.
Note the error message # you are getting, if any. It will help the support
technician identify the problem. I ran into the same problem even after I
changed and reset my Internet options. By process of elimination, the tech
was finally able to tell me what to do to fix the problem. They stayed on
the phone with me the whole time, so I didn't have to keep calling back.
Just reply if you are successful.
