I need to fade in & out some streams
Posted by Sseaott on April 6th, 2004

Is there a program I can use that will allow me to add a fade in at the
beginning of a long mp3 file (DJ continuous music) and then allow me to fade
out at the very end? I have been playing around with replay-radio and have
recorded about 3 hours worth of streams but I need to fade in the beginning
of file as well as the end because when it starts and ends, it starts and
ends with a 'bang'. I was thinking windows media player or iTunes would do
it but I cant seem to find any solutions with regards to that program. I
even tried to figure out if there was a way to do it with roxio easy cd
creator 5 platinum, according to the software there is but for some reason
it doesn't work.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I don't have the original thread, but perhaps OP could take their mp3
to their local college who like has an audio/video recording system
for school assignments. They would likely have high end software that
would do exactly this.

Just a thought,

"MP3trim" will do exactly what you want, but you'll have to buy a more
advanced version of the program to get one that will load and manipulate as
long a file as what you're talking about. Registration isn't much, as I
recall, although I haven't used the program in a while.
