- i siad something wrong

Yesterday,
All those backups seemed a waste of pay.
Now my database has gone away.
Oh I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly,
There's not half the files there used to be,
And there's a milestone hanging over me
The system crashed so suddenly.
I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say.
Now all my data's gone
and I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay.
Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away.
I knew my data was all here to stay,
Now I believe in yesterday.

Nicely done, but personally, I think a "no backup" movement
should be started.
Who CARES about all that crap accumulating on your machines?
The one or two times when a HD died and I had to use recovery
software, I actually regretted it once it was over. Shouldn't
have bothered. All that crap is STILL sitting there waiting to
be sorted and filed. If I had more guts, I would just delete
everything. Darn the packrat instinct!
I KNOW there are people who actually have some semi-important
stuff on their machines. However, BION, the strongest and most
resistant storage medium on earth is still paper.
