Your internet is described by the wiki as a worldwide network using the
IP.
Your network access consists of your connectivity from/with your
connectivity provider to your mail and websites and this newsgroup and
some other stuff.
You have demonstrated your access to this newsgroup, so perhaps 'my
internet' means browser related websurfing.
In order to access this newsgroup with OE, OE asked your system to get
an IP address for your provider's news; so apparently that part worked.
Most people who have mail problems complain about not being able to get
their mail, so apparent your OE is able to ask your system for your
mailserver's IP address and to access it and get your mail -- so
apparently that part worked.
So, now we come down to another popular part of 'your internet' which is
your ability to use your browser to access websites -- it might be
reasonable to assume that your question might have been, "When I use my
browser to try to access some website or another, I can't. Now what?"
If my browser didn't work but my email and my newsagent worked, then I
would try to access a website by its IP address and see what happened.
Here's one:
http://209.131.36.158
If you click on that IP address link with your OE, it should call on
your browser and your system should contact the webserver at that IP
address and that webserver should show you a yahoo page.
If that doesn't happen, then what does, in trying to get 'your intenet'
to work?
