keylogger intrusion
Posted by zybbok on December 23rd, 2004

Hello Folks,
I was using WebRoot and Pest Patrol to scan for SpyWare and I came across a
keylogger in my Program files folder:

C:\Program Files\Invisible Keylogger....

Neither of the SpyWare programs picked up on the keylogger, it just cought
my eye during the scan.
Does anyone use, or know of, a good program to delete this kind of
intrusion?
Thanx in Advance

Looking through a bit of their promotional material, I'm surprised
that it was just sitting there to be found in Program files.
I don't have an actual answer for you. I'm just wondering why *your*
computer could be accessed by someone that would spend forty-odd bucks
to see what you're doing.

Without having looked at any of their material at all, I wonder what sort
of invisible keylogger would call itself "Invisible Keylogger" and place
itself out in the open like that. Are they using the "hide in plain
sight" approach to stealth?

is never accessed by anyone other than myself. It came up with two
instances of Invisible Keylogger, both are only links to the site trying
to sell the product.
