Laptop PROB
Posted by Joni on August 1st, 2005

My friend did a real daft thing and knocked his coffee over his toshiba
laptop.
He tried his best to dry it out - now the laptop comes on for a minute or so
and powers down, does this mean its curtains or can it be fixed without
spending tonnes of cash.

Cheers

Was the laptop on when he spilled the coffee? If yes, your friend
probably fried his laptop. Coffee is acidic, too. Not good for laptops.
Go get the tonnes of cash.

Seriously, your friend can check and see if there are any authorized
toshiba repair centers in town and/or if any local people work on this
kind of laptop repair, but probably he's going to wind up calling
Toshiba tech support.
