Laptop system tester

Is there any decent software to compare specs of laptops against each other?
I have two coming on trial and I would like to see how their performance
compares when put through the same tests.

Thanks

pcmag.com usually has information as well as tomshardware.com
YOu could also use epinions.com and google!

Indecision is the key to flexibility.

Thought of using them with what you normally run? see which suits you
better?
The pusuit of "better" benchmark results is honestly futile,as i doubt
anyone but a serious gamer/graphics user will be able to percieve
differences in "performance" with todays current reasonable spec
laptop, also if you were in persuit of that kind of performance,a laptop
is not for you.Who cares if it takes 32 seconds longer to burn a disc
etc etc.
Machines are now throw away comodoties, identify what you will use the
machine for, choose by price--jeez you do not need 1GB of ram to surf and
use "office"

Serious design work often requires a decent spec. I do not think a £2000
purchase is throw away.
