- Laptop to TV

I hooked my TV to Laptop and receive a proper picture both on Laptop
and TV. However when playing a video-file in avi- format I do not
receive any picture on TV. Sample videos in Windows Media Player
instead are shown in good quality. What may be the reason?

You should post to a msnews.microsoft.com to the NG based on the O/S you are
using. You might also want to make contact with the manufacture of the
laptop tech support too.
