Hi. I've posted in other groups and forums and had no luck at all.My problem
is, i'm trying to set a wireless network up between my pc and a laptop.I am
on Blueyonder BB.I have a motorola surfboard modem.a Linksys broadband
router and a D-link 650+ pcmcia card in the laptop. Both computers are
running windows xp pro.
When i try and connect to the internet via the laptop i can't.Under
properties for wireless networking the box is unticked for "use windows to
configure my wireless network settings" and under available networks it
says linksys.which is the router. If i check the use windows to configure
networking, the icon for the card lights up and saysSignal strength
excellent..But under the bytes sent and received they remain at 0.
Iv' tried everything i can think of but can't connect t the internet.Whern i
do ipconfig/all on the laptop it says dhcp enabled and autoconfiguration
enabled and gives the ip address of the router.Obviously i dont know much
about networking ,but if theres anyone out there who can help me out, i
would be very grateful.I've been trying to sort it out for a couple of days
now. Also i have registered the mac address of the router with BY and left
the modem off overnight but it's made no difference.
