Hi. We live at a culldasac here. Since the neighbors put a house at the end
of the road, and had the really small, crappy circle (only person who can
make the turn is the small mail truck), there has been nothing but trouble.
Mainly with the USPS.

If there is a single car on the culldasac, or on the side of the road out
front of my house or the neighbors across the street (The houses next to the
one at the end), the mail lady turns right around when she turns on to our
street and we don't get our mail.

Today, the town dumped a bunch of stuff at the end of the road, some piping,
big cement blocks and fill. The mail lady today skipped us because of this.
she says that her supervisor has said that if she cant make the turn, to
turn around down the street and not deliver our mail box. We get "Box
blocked [date]" written on a letter when we finally get the mail.

Now, there is no way that the USPS can tell us that we can't use the side of
the road or "circle" or else we dont get our mail. The boxes themselves are
not blocked, I think the mail lady, although really nice and cool, just
doesnt want to take the time to maneuver the truck a little or step out if
she can avoid it.

I will have to speak with the supervisor.. this is rediculous... anyone have
any comments or advice here?

The situation is undoubtly frustrating as hell. But she's probably
fully within the rules.

I would ask if she could make " a little better effort" to get you
your mail. Perhaps even moving your box. You ought to complain to
your town as well.

The bar next door got into a habit of pushing their snow and
almost completely blocking my post box. I finally borrowed a
plow and pushed the snow in front of one of their doors. They got the
*idea*.

The postman still delivered, but he did have to "jack" his truck
around to do so.

Well guys. our boxes are on the sides of the roads out at the ends of the
front yards. today the girl who lives at the house at the end of the road
was out at the box, the mail lady i guess isnt too mean to see her and turn
around so she came up, gave their mail and did 10 seconds maneuvering and
backing up and had no trouble putting our mail in our box. next time it
happens i will go to the post office and speak to the manager and get some
stuff straight
