I have a HP P.C I am experiencing more and more the P.C locking up /
freezing on me.
The only way to unlock the P.C is to shut it down and reboot using the on
off switch.
Any ideas what is wrong here.

You could try this: reduce your graphics acceleration in system
properties/performance/advanced and it might cut out or reduce your screen
from freezing.
