Just to say I am ok - (assuming anyone in these groups was aware I live
in London). One of the trains was more or less my usual morning train,
but I was running about 20 mins late.
I just wanted to comment that I find the actions of the terrorists to be
very stupid - After the LIVE8 concerts many eyes were on the G8
conference, putting pressure on them to act further to help the
developing world. Now if G8 fudge the important issues the news coverage
and public debate will be drowned out by chatter about these attacks.
Tonight at the supermarket I saw all the newspapers, with optimistic
front-pages, covering the winning of the Olympic bid. Tomorrow's will be
full of doom-crying.
London will be ok, we have had much, much worse in the past.
Most of us be back on the tube and buses tomorrow.
