Looking for a Scanner
Posted by zybbok on January 8th, 2007

Hello Folks.
I've presently got a Canon 3200F USB2 scanner that's about 2 years old.
Although it works with USB2, when I scan an A4 page in full colour at
600DPI, it takes an age to scan.
I've updated the scanner drivers and the toolbox drivers from Canon but the
speed's just the same.

Admittedly the scanning results are first class but now I'm looking for a
new Scanner that can give

good results and good scanning speed.

Has anyone bought, or is using, a Scanner they can recommend?

Thanx in advance

I recommend the Canon Canoscan D1250U2F - which is the scanner I use
everyday. It's very quick with 600dpi images from using it with
Photoshop.

I don't know if this scanner is still available, as I've owned it for
around 3 years.

How long is "an age"?

Canon says 15 seconds for an A4 at 600 dpi, but I suspect that's
under ideal circumstances. YMMV
