- Macintosh Computer Question
- Posted by Roy B on January 9th, 2004
A friend owns a Mac and when she turned
it on all she got on the monitor was a small
square in the middle with a question mark in it.
I dont have a Mac so can anyone shed a light on
what happened and how to get a proper response
to a boot.

that usually means there's no start up folder. like the hard drive is bad,
or you need an OS on it. try booting from cd and see if it sees a hard
drive.
