Hope someone can help
I cannot get my microphone to work. When I go to control panel, sound &
audio hardware, and do the test, it will not do it. When I go to yahoo
messenger and do the microphone setup, it tells me that the "microphone is
being used by another program, close out the program and try again." I do
not have any programs running. I just purchased a new headphone/microphone
thinking my old one did not work. And now this one won't either.
What must I do next?

Are you sure you have it inserted into the correct port?

Make sure line-out is working before testing - just play any sound.
