- Monitor Controls not working
- Posted by Bill P on September 2nd, 2005
Hi When I say not working I should say not all of them are working.
Image on screen is too wide (Start button and clock are not visible) and
Width can't be altered neither can Pincushion and Trapezoid controls. Height
can be adjusted and so can horizontal and vertical positioning along with a
couple of others.
You get the picture (sorry).
My questions are :-
1 Is the monitor fixable ?
2 Is it a costly exercise and is it going to be worth it ? It is a 5 year
old CRT.
Regards
Bill

like the monitor is ready for the skip. At that age, it`s not worth
repairing. If money`s tight, there are plenty of 2nd hand monitors about.
best wishes..OJ

Resolution is as it always was.
I had already come to the same conclusion as you that it was knacked. Pity,
it was a nice clean picture.

Ah, Happy days when everything used to work perfectly.

Sounds like it is bust. If you want another CRT they only cost about £40 or
you could get a TFT for £100 more.
