I have a yahoo mail account that I set up a while ago. It is a
yahoo.com account, set up before it was possible for a yahoo.co.uk
mail account.

Now I want to move it over to yahoo.co.uk, mainly because I live in
the UK and I want to use the POP3 access that they offer to users of a
yahoo.co.uk account

Any ideas as to how this might be achieved?

Thanks in advance

Stephen

You can create a new account.

I did it, but it was years back, so I have no idea, but I know it involved
creating a new account. Sorta.

I know they allowed me to do it but it must be 5 years or more, so I have no
idea how. And Yahoo's help pages /always/ manage to omit the questions you
need to ask ?

Let me rack my brain...there that didn't take long.

Will have a think instead, all that racking made my head hurt.

Exactly... my username is already taken. You cannot take a .co.uk
account if there is already a .com one by the same name taken.

I tried (with a different, test account) to create one then deactivate
it as .com and create a new one as .co.uk and it still wouldn't let me.
It told me that the name was taken.

Maybe there is a deactivation period before you can re-register? Ring
any bells slumpy?

You cannot deactivate it - they do it themselves after about 6 months or so
AFAIK.

I'm perusing the pages looking for inspiration/miracle/divine intervention.
