At one time I had (from System Works) the ability to use Go-Back a
better form of restore than MS Restore. However it appears unable to be
installed at present. I've been informed by the help info that when I
have my HD set up in MS-DOS Compatibility mode that Go-Back will not
work. I checked the BIOS and there is no way there to unset this
condition. I thought it might have something to do with the installation
of drivers for a ZIP drive. At one time it had minimal software to
access it. I believe that the problem showed up around the time that I
installed new software for that ZIP drive. However uninstalling the ZIP
drive software did not indicate correct the problem.
The system is box running Windows ME with 512 MB memory, a 40 GB HD, and
a 486 MHz CPU. Note that the startup SYS files have not changed from a
day long before the Go-Back program was installed (without problems)
initially. The MS help files and the support help files provide not
indication on how to reverse this condition.
