Must be easy.....

Please help, I have loads of files in my music folder, I would like to
select certain ones at the same time, and send them to a cd-rw disk. if I
press ctrl and a I can select them all, but I don't want all, only some? If
I press and hold ctrl I can select them with a click of my mouse and then
down to the next one and click again, but I want to drag the mouse holding
in the button, but it just moves the file and then copies it to the folder.
I know it must be easy but it's driving me nuts......

Just to be excruciatingly clear.... do you want to actually *send*
(move) the files, or send a copy?

Highlight one music file, then hold Shift and press the up or down arrow.
Is that the effect you were hoping for?

Regards,
Ian.

Hold down Ctrl and click *one at a time* on the files you want to select,
clciking on Shift will select a group of files.

Make sure that the mouse cursor is NOT over a file. Start
the drag from a blank area, and it will work as you want.
