I'm not sure why but my computer seems to loose its IP address after a long
period of inactivity. Then I must reboot in order to get an IP address
again. I'm running windows 98. Any ideas would be helpful
Thanks

How long a period? 3 days perhaps?
click start, run
type in "command" [no quotes]
at the prompt, type ipconfig /release
then type ipconfig /renew
