- Need docking station for 12" laptop? Or use desktop?
- Posted by me@privacy.net on March 29th, 2006
I'm thinking abt buying a 12" laptop.
If I go 12" they usually don't come with an optical
drive of any kind. So to install software and such one
must buy the docking station which does have an optical
drive, etc
However....could I install anything via my desktops
optical drive instead? Again this is for 12" laptops.
If yes..... do I connect them via USB ports? Or how
exactly?

If you have a USB drive, via USB, if the drives are internal, through a
network connection/shared resource.

Oh yes they do. Or do you mean a Thinkpad? Tablet? or Palmheld?
What exactly do you mean by 12" laptop?

Unless you're talking about those ultralight sub 3 pounders, most of them
have optical drives these days-- including burners.
