- Nero 5.5
- Posted by marc_sabido on July 3rd, 2003
I own a copy of Nero 5.5 Burning ROM (5.5.4.2 TDK) which came with my
cd-rewriter TDK Cyclone 24/10/40.
I am running Windows 98.
My problem is that after creating a data CD-R I then tried to add to that
data using Nero. I created a new multisession and then selected 'Write
CD/Burn' to burn the new data.
However I can now no longer see the original data when I use windows
explorer or Nero. It appears that rather than the new data being added to
the original data, it has replaced the data (Although on a CD-R I cannot see
how this is possible).
Is there any way of retrieving the original data. This data is extremely
important to me

you said "after creating a data CD-R I tried to add to that by creating a
NEW multisession and then selected Burn".............you don't add to a
multisession by starting a new one you select Continue multisession. That
will add to whatever is already on the CD-R.
Good luck,

That is not just Nero I once had the same thing happen with Adaptec which
