- Netgear Wireless NIC (MA311)
- Posted by Greg on December 25th, 2003
I apologize for cross-posting, have been working on this for many days
and cannot find a solution.
Problem:
Netgear MA311 shows good signal strength and signal quality in Netgear
Utility, but no internet connection.
To get internet connection, have to open the Netgear utility (in the
task tray) and hit "Activate", or "OK", or "Rescan" to be assigned an
IP from my Linksys router (which has DHCP turned on).
Have reloaded NIC drivers, reflashed router, turned DHCP on and
off.... no luck.
Setup:
Sending computer; Y2K Pro 2.6GHz 768MB Linksys BEFW11S4
Receiving computer; HP XP Home 1.8 GHz 512MB Netgear MA311
Thank you and Happy Holidays.

@posting.google.com:
So your setup is Internet --- Win2k -- router --- XP?
If this is the case, then why is not this Intenwt -- router --- win2k
:
----------- XP
If XP is the wireless computer, then you may need to reconfigure XP to
make it work with the wireless card properly. That's beyond the normal
config out of the box,
