Yes, you can even get multiport cards, or hubs on a card. Doesn't even
need to be RJ45 (do remember that's only the physical connector and not
a type of network)
Same / Different depends what you are doing.
Ah the tricky bit. In that case not sure. It's fine with
NT/2000/Linux/XP Pro stuff.
Don't see that it should be an issue. One tip if you do that, use 2
different brand cards, if you have issues it's harder to tell where the
problem may be if -
Card 1 (Internet) is described as 3Com Etherlink III
and
Card 2 (Home LAN) is described as 3Com Etherlink III
even though the MAC addresses (is mostly different) and settings are
different.
However is easier to know if
Card 1 is described as 3Com Etherlink III
and
Card 2 is described as Netgear GA302T
Using those brands as examples only.

Depends on the OS on how hard that is, but with WinXP, it's not a
big problem.
It depends. Why are you putting both in the same subnet, anyway?
If you're connecting them to different networks, then yes.
If you're connecting them to the SAME network, errr- Why?
