Hi, I have networked two computers main comp xp the other me. I had just
re-installed the os on the me computer so it had not had a connection to the
internet when I networked it. Problem is though it is connected to the
internet (will run automatic updates on antivirus etc.) if I try to open
internet explorer or outlook express it tries to run set msn setup process
to look for a modem, is there a way around this please?

Run the Internet Connection wizard on the ME machine and select the connect
via LAN option.
