I have a powerful desktop pc which runs broadband and a wireless laptop I
use on dialup. How easy is it to network the two so that I can use broadband
on the laptop as well.

Easy. Make sure both PC's are running XP. Right click the network icon,
Select Properties, then run the setup wizard. Its as easy as that "hopefully."
Any issues then drop another email.
