Now, whether or not bt carries that group is another matter, but my
server (Giganews) does.

There is free.uk.talk.milton-keynes but I don't know if it's 'active' or
widely carried. If your news-server doesn't have it, you could ask them.

Curiously, the uk.local.* heirarchy doesn't seem to have a group for Bucks,
at least not on my servers.

<groan> In about 6 seconds using

www.google.com , search for

uk newsgroups

leads to http://groups.google.com and a quick scan
gives a link to lists of free.uk groups or the uk.local groups

search for milton

the 1st hit of 38 is

free.uk.talk.milton-keynes
Group description: The town of Milton Keynes, England
Category: Europe > United Kingdom
Usenet, public

It's so easy..... saves waiting for an answer, you could have had hours
ago.

You could be the first :-) and start one.

In the free.* hierarchy, anyone can set up a new group without having to
bother with things like charters , RFDs or The Committee.

New newsgroups

All you have to do is send an email to usenet-uk<a.t.>bigfoot.com
stating that you would like a new free.uk group created and suggest a
name for it. Someone on the free.uk promotions mailing list should then
reply and create the group for you.
