News servers

Hi all,

I'm using a news server which is good for reading but seems to be bad at
propagation. Can anyone recommend a good reading/posting server with at
least reasonable propagation? Preferably free, but I'll pay if
absolutely necessary. Anyone used Teranews?

Thanks

Teranews sucks. www.newsguy.com $5.95 monthly, $39.95 yearly.

I'm using athenanews.com, $5.95 per month with a 1Gig per day download

is 143,694. No restrictions. I'm happy.

You continue to be an idiot. Teranews has excellent propagation and
retention; and the one-time sign-up fee for the 50MB/day free account is
among the best available; if the need to constantly download and delete
kiddy-porn a step ahead of law-enforcement is not a factor.

This is normally true. I am now using their pay service, and am
generally happy with it. Sadly, for the last 24 hours, one of my
favourite groups, a.b.p.wallpaper, has not been coming through with new
posts on Teranews. Even my local ISP's server is doing better with that
group at the moment.

I use freetera for binaries and warez groups. For a free (small setup
charge) server thay are OK. Their propagation is often very slow.
