Do you know the addresses of NTL news servers.
I only have
text.news.ntlworld.com

Thiere are other ntl servers, (no list at present) but they might all be the
'same or not'
Why not ask in an ntl group ?

stick with the text ng at present if you go to cable.news.ntlworld.com(the
real cable server) you will have loads of problems getting the groups to
update or load
ntl official response is we are over subscribed in some areas--but will not
define the "some"
forget the ntl news groups as they are just full of bitching about lack of
service and no real help to be found there
enjoy the broadband for surfing--but untill ntl get the act together for the
news servers(believe there is a trial at present) the situation will not
change
not doom and gloom---just the facts
