An engineer who repaired my Pc installed Norton Utilities with Speed
Disk.Can anyone tell me,does running this program produce the same results
as running Defrag facility in WinXP

Speed Disk is the same as defrag, yes. Be advised that
you should chose one defragmenter and stick with it. Do
not switch between two different programs, since they
use differing algorithms to move/place files; swapping
can have adverse effects.
