Can anyone tell me what a clock-face symbol next to a "buddy" name means? It
shows them as "online", but sometimes has this clock-face symbol next to the
name.

I've never used AOL but, the symbol sounds similar to Yahoo instant
messenger's idle icon so it possibly means the same thing - that the user
has been idle for a certain time.
