You didn't mention your version of Windows, but I'll guess it's 9x or
ME?
There is more than likely a bad entry in your autoexec.bat file.
Look in C:\ and see if there is an autoexec.bak file with a recent
date. If so, open it in notepad and compare the contents to those of
the autoexec.bat file. See any changes?
The changes are probably from a recent software installation.
Try renaming autoexce.bat to autoexec.000, and then rename
autoexec.bak to autoexec.bat.
If the problem still occurs, use msconfig and selective startup to try
and weed out the problem.
