- Printing greyscale in a Canon S820 Printer
- Posted by Mick. on December 16th, 2004
I have found all my negatives that I had taken around 1960. They had been
put away, and I thought lost. Anyhow I have scanned them in, but am, having
problems trying to print them as greyscale in my Canon S820 6 colour
printer. Under advice I have been adjusting the mixers in the printer set
up, but still get a green tint to the photos. I have been told that there
are available a set of ink tanks (not Canon) especially to overcome this,
has anyone information on this please?
I have tried printing them with the printer set to greyscale, but it seems
more like a photo copy.
Thanks for any help,
Mick.

I'm not familiar with that particular printer, but the link below is to
a company that's been making ink for printing photos for years and they
are quite good at it. Maybe it's the company you're talking about. There
are distributors in most areas of the world.

Hope it helps. On the same subject, I've found through experience that
sometimes different programs print the same picture file differently.
Different drivers for the printer, different color profiles in your
editing program, the paper you're printing on, lots of things can affect
the outcome.
