I have a 5 year old Toshiba Tecra8100 laptop. I have just upgraded the OS
to windows 2000 professional from Windows 98. The machine has a Savage/MX
w/ MV (290) graphic card by S3inc. This worked fine with Win 98 but
unfortunately the driver no longer works with 2000 pro. After some
searching I've tried installing several drivers that I thought were updates
that would work with 2000 but to no avail, I just keep getting the message
that the driver isn't compatible. Help please, I'm currently running on the
standard VGA controller and it sucks. I'm at my wits end and fresh out of
ideas while graphics on my laptop have gone from pretty acceptable to less
than basic. Thanks for any ideas you can throw my way.
