I have a new HP a63n desktop computer with XP. Ever since I got it I have
been having trouble getting it to read my CD-Rs. It will read a few of them,
but most of them it will not. There seems to be no particular brand of CDs
that it will not read, and no particular kind of file that it will or will
not read. I have Memorex, Sony, and HP CDs. I have all kinds of files
including data, music data files, Photo data files. I have no trouble
playing music that I have put on CDs or commercial music Cds. I have talked
to HP many times, and have been to Office Depot for help from techs there. I
have gotten suggestions, but nobody seems willing to really tackle the
problem. One HP person said that the drives were ok. Easy for him to say.
Ha! Anybody out there have some real help for me?
