- Procedure Entry Point GETIUMS
- Posted by Lonesomepicker@optonline.net on March 4th, 2004
Anyone know what this annoyance is that suddenly popped up on my
system whenever I shut down Windows Media Player is? An error message
comes up that says:
"The procedure entry point GETIUMS could not be located in the dynamic
link library MSDART.DLL"
I did a Google search and came up with a lot of hits but no fixes.
Seems a lot of folks are seeing this and it's not limited to Windows
Media Player. I did a reinstall of Windows XP Pro yesterday. I don't
remember seeing this before then. Thanks for any advice.

You have the wrong version of msdart.dll .
Try updating MDAC.

Thanks once again for a useful and timely answer Mike. That seems to
have worked. I wonder how much else is out there that is newer than
the Windows XP Pro that I bought a month ago.
