- Qualcom EUDORA 6.2 saving emails...Help
- Posted by john on December 5th, 2005
By the end of the week I'll be taking
delivery of a new computer and amongst
many other items I need to save on to DVD's
in order to keep a record, are heaps of emails.
Would someone be kind enough to advise on
a swift method of "saving to" multi emails. I have
literally hundreds of them which I genuinely
need for future reference. Or, indeed any
other method of keeping a historical record?
I'd be very much obliged for your help.
Thank you!

And what email client will you be using on your new machine?
(BTW, Eudora uses the Unix MBox format for email, which is just a text
file and each mail folder can be opened with any text editor.....)

Why not backup the entire Eudora program folder / data folder to DVD.
When you get the new PC install the same version of Eudora, then from
the DVD copy back the existing program / data folder. Remembering the
file attributes will be read-only.
I have used this method for Forte Agent , Netscape for several years and
IIRC Eudora v4 a long time ago.

Thank you. Makes sense. It's the method I'll
be using for my records.
