Only Muslims would do that ... right? And the last two world wars were started
by whom and for what. Vietnam/Korea were religion based? Numerous other less
publicised areas of the world are littered dead!
The point is most conflicts are related to political ideals and have very
little to do with religion.

They were all great ideas to assist smaller communities of man abide by a set
of laws which over time were corrupted by the very people they were developed
to protect. Now it seems the mighty dollar and capitalism is the new religion.
Problems arise in religion from man it's all related to power, greed, avarice
et al not the fundemental principals of religion.

If you are a man of Science then you'll understand that just because you can't
see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Everything is possible even when
very unlikely ;-)

I installed It in my living room and I had a flood of Trojans,

Please try not to embarrass yourself. When there is a muslim majority
in a country, democracy falls.

Kashmir - Islam Hindu,
Cyprus - Islam Greek Orthodox,
Chechenya - Islam Russion Orthodox
East Turkistan - Islam Buddhist
The Balkans - Muslim Christian
Srilanka - Muslim Tamil
Palestine - Muslim Jewish
Turkey - The head of the leading party can't be prime minister
because he has a conviction for inciting religious hatred.

"Muslim World - The war with Iraq is expected to cause a backlash
against Christian minorities living in the Muslim world. Many of these
believers suffer silent persecution on a daily basis, including forced
Islamic indoctrination in schools and the denial of health and human
services. The war will likely increase persecution against them and
violent attacks are feared in some countries like Pakistan."

Erh ... there is a small minority of muslimin in SL, but the majority of
singhalese are (terribly peace loving) buddhists, while the tamil minority,
AFAIK, may be hindu. Which, further, should indicate to you that "tamil" is
not a religion, but an ethnicity.

You haven't read my opinion on communism then? Just because I said
that religion is evil doesn't mean the world is brilliant everywhere
else.

Some things that are utterly flawed, and all of their exponents executed.
1. Religion.
2. Feminism.
3. Communism.
4. Extremism.

Capitalism at least provides tax.

This is true. It could be transparent, or simply vacuum. Or even a black hole.

It isn't god.

The word and definition of "capitalism" is a Marxist communist theory.
It is a derogatory assessment of individual freedom to invest one's own
money and efforts to earn one's living. A far better term is "free
enterprise."

How true, how true.
However, you cited this case as evidence for democracy eroding wherever
there is a muslim majority.
Check out the statistics for Sri Lanka - there is no muslim majority, nor
any particularly large minority.
The civil war lasting for nigh on 20 years is raging between (buddhist)
singhalese and (AFAIK hindu) tamil populations, quite without aid from any
muslimin. So this particular example should be stricken from the list.

It is, btw, tempting to make your statement into something analytically
true, since Islam can be said to favour a theocracy. However, Japan is in
some respects a theocracy, and many buddhists countries, like Sri Lanka,
allow religion a strong presence in their culture, and there at least the
forms of democracy are (still) operating.

I guess democracy, like any debate, presupposes the lack of any "master
position" held, interpreted and enacted by a limited group of people with
special access; nor any "master position" held by the vast majority, choking
any diverging minority.

I agree. Japan isn't a major threat to my way of life at the moment though,
just like happy clappy brigade and the lunatics who shot yitzak rabin, so
for the moment, I'll take the piss out of Islam.

I agree, that's my position on Turkey, it has elections, but there's no
democracy. Further, a good society doesn't necessarily have to be a
democracy. Look at Brunei. All it takes though in non democracies, to
go from a benign dictator, to a despot, and there's torobble (to quote
Robocop.) As far as the salt lake city crowd goes, I couldn't give a toss
about them, since they are in the position the muslims were in before
the end of the cold war. Then Islam, was only the second most important threat
to my way of life. I imagine someone else would become more important
than Islam, to have a go at, should Mullahs get their flocks of suicide
bombers to drink alcohol, play football, and leer at women.

All the evidence is though, that Islam, once in, doesn't leave without
much effort. One only has to look at Pomegranate city, and the mother of
the ruler who said, to his defeated son... "Let you cry like a woman ye
who has not defended his religion like a man." The spaniards had to
remove the Moors from Granada, "pip by pip."

I have a very good friend whom fifteen years ago was "travelling" (
before travelling was tourism) in Palestine. He and his bird were
invited back to the house of the owner of a shop for supper.

Whilst sitting at the table, (the women weren't allowed to speak) my
friend noticed that this man always referred to Christianity in the
past tense. My friend asked... "Why do you do that?", to which he
replied "Well, the world will be all moslem before you know it."

"What if we don't want to all be muslim?", my friend asked before
a family of people, and was shocked by the cold, totally serious,
absolutely lacking in humour or irony response.

"Well we'll just kill you." he said.

This is however, getting far too serious. I derive my pleasure from
drawing people into extreme arguments, not serious dialogue. Serious
dialogue tends to solve problems, and there's less discussion value in
that.
