Sorry I guess I wasn't very clear I'm using windows 2k pro and this is my
home machine. It's not on a large scale network at all, just a tiny one
with 5 computers. And by my drive disconnecting I mean a message would pop
up that said it wasn't connect to my computer like it was a removable drive
or something but I know it's not set as one.Do you think the ide cable
might be bad or maybe my windows 2k install is botched?? It was working
one-hundred percent before I did a fresh install of service pack 4. Eh

PS -&nbsp; Double check the IDE cable to make sure it isn't off by one set of pins.
