The truth is that People's Republic of China, the fucking barbaric

We're part of china, but not part of the PRC! All communists and their
supporters and people who tolerate them are evil and should DIEEEEEEE!!!
Japan should be considered as part of china too. We brought civilization to
the undeveloped island thousands of years ago (it was the the time of
Chin/Qin).
Bullshit, it's certain. Taiwan is a province of the Republic of China, and
ROC is an independent nation, whether those red pigs admit or not (Maybe we
should give a few nukes to help them realize this).

A little under 2,000 years ago, by my calendar. 'Thousands' it won't be
until the 2,000 year mark is passed; maybe another 200 years to go.
And, in any case, the Japanese did with Chinese civilization as they would
later do with Western technology. First they mastered it, then they improved
on it.
{F.Y.I., the single best Navy ever produced by human ingenuity is the
British Royal Navy. They fought some of the fiercest battles of the Pacific
in WWII; won some, lost others...but it was a better performance than the
German, Italian, French, and Russian fleets combined.
Here is a hint: The U.S. Navy is a genealogical descendent of the Royal
Navy. The Imperial Japanese Navy was patterned after the Royal Navy. Of the
eight aircraft carriers which participated in the watershed Battle of
Midway, all eight were manned by seamen trained in the traditions of the
Royal Navy.
Something else to ponder: The Chinese at one time had the best blue-water
merchant marine, and Navy, the world had yet seen. Unfortunately, the
reigning emperor, upon hearing that no civilization worthy of intercourse
with China had been discovered, ordered the fleet destroyed, and Chinese
explorers to desist from their explorations.
Something to think about when we discuss manned space flight. Something for
the Chinese to ponder; the might have beens of being a premier world power;
had that emperor been more like Portugal's Henry the Navigator than some
silly Luddite.}

It's not true. They just look good. There were two big problems:
1.The navy doesn't belong to the imperial family, but to the most powerful
minister at that time, Li. (in fact the imperial family had lost all their
own military during the Taiping Rebellion).
2.A navy, only a navy. There is no supply, no central command system, and
no money to maintain and improve it!

Logistics is actually a fairly recent invention. Up until the U.S. Civil
War, armies (and navies) essentially had to forage for sustenance of the
fighters.
