- Recycle Bin Icon

In Windows XP, is there any way to remove the Recycle Bin icon from the
desktop?
In the effort to have a completely empty desktop, I have removed all
the others and placed shortcuts in the task bar instead, but there
seems to be no way to do this with the Recycle Bin.

Right click on taskbar/toolbar/desktop. Uncheck show the desktop.
Unlock your taskbar untill you can click on the desktop
arrow/popup.Lock it once you can.
