- repair help needed

this system I'm working on crashed and had freeze ups but this
last time something changed the bios boot sequence and wiped out the
win 98 se files...I scanned for viruses with nav 2001 and it was
clean...can it be hardware problem ?....it is a 900 mhz amd,2
memory sticks not matched ..256 and 64 mb...and the virus update were
ok....
any help please.....thank you

if the bios settings keep resetting it could be something as simple as a
dead cmos battery
usually pretty simple to replace

you say that you scanned it with NAV 2001 -- I assume that you have
updated the virus defs to 17/11/03 which is the latest update !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
