- Resources

I have been reading some letters about the problem of low resources. I
have not found any solution suggested. I have that problem sometimes,
and am now at about 47%, and I don't know why it should be that low.
Low resources do cause the computer to slow down, I presume. Is there
a good solution to the problem? Someone has said, "Don't worry about
it until they are at 10%." That was a surprise. Would be interested in
some comments and some help.

what you can do is use the msconfig utility, althought its not the best way
to go about things, you would most likely want to prevent a program from
starting up with your computer the proper way by going into the prog and
telling in not to start up on boot
start>>run>>type msconfig>>click ok
click on the startup tab
go down that list and uncheck things that dont belong
for more help go to google and search for how to use msconfig
go to start>programs>startup remove all things here unless you use one of
them frequently
uninstall all programs through add/remove programs that you dont want or use
any longer
run scan disk & defrag while booted into safemode

Resources of 47% is nothing to worry about. Here is some

47% is NOT low. Unless:
1. You fresh boot with 47% avaiable, unless of course, you've decided to
load, and want to load, 39 apps you like to use on startup.
2. You have a proggy that drains your resoureses.
