created and verified a image from a eight gig quantum drive, then
imaged the new Maxtor drive, it went smoothly but all I get is the Win
xp logo, the mouse moves around. even in safe mode.
Im puzzled

I finally got it to work.
It was registering as a secondary Master even though it was the only
hard drive installed.
I changed the jumper and re- ran the Maxtor software and that did it.
