Here's a weird one about my home PC. Ever since installing a second HD and
wiping all information on the first one ... plus re-loading a clean OS (Win
XP) ... I've never had an opportunity to burn CDs until last night. Well
after setting Roxio up I noticed that I only have one burn speed ... 10X.
Before I had 1X, 2X, 4X and then I think 8X and 10X. So what happened to
the slower speeds? How can I get Roxio to recognize that my burner (It's an
Acer but I don't know the model off-hand ... just that I'm fairly certain
it's a 10X 8X 32X) can do slower speeds? I really don't trust it to burn at
10x on everything, especially converting MP3s back to audio tracks. I
always seem to get errors.
Any recommendations ... besides getting Nero? I'm still not sold on that
program.
=)
